Latest Gimmick to Be on Display

Hey, not only will Pitt be on Gameday, the newest promotional gimmick will be on display. Oh, not thundersticks, or something loud and annoying things like that. They are a different kind of annoying. The “Rollabana.”

Pitt Roll-out Banner.
Basically, it is a handheld, roll-up banner. You grab each end, pull and then wave the banner with both hands. Release and it conveniently rolls back.

Judging by the Rollabana website, I’m guessing it has been in Europe for a while and just started hitting the US in ’06. Starting with some baseball teams. The US distributor of the product doesn’t have much of a site, but they do have a message.

They gave these out at a Pats-Dolphins game I went to this year.

They suck…

the toys.. not that Pats…

the old ones that they used to give out were by a company that were copting them…the new ones by ROLLABANA are cool..they looked great at the game last night…..look to ouse them again!

a company called maximpact is the only company allowed to make/sell/use as promotional items in the US……I thought they were really cool–but thought THE ZOO would have more of them!

They can also be hung in car/dorm windows…and used over and over again…for football/basketball….pretty cool!
