I’m on DVR delay tonight, so no liveblog. Fire away,  but try to keep it somewhat clean.

i know its early.. but how are we letting up so many three point shots already

Comment by ryan 01.02.08 @ 7:10 pm

they can’t possibly keep this up

Comment by tdemps 01.02.08 @ 7:25 pm

8 of 10 from the three-point range…is Lafayette that good or just super hot thus far?

By the way..what radio station has it on the ‘net live (both Fox 970 and 94.5 are not carrying it via the net)?

Hail to PITT!

9 for 13 now from 3. They cannot possibly keep this up.

Comment by Crackbaldo 01.02.08 @ 7:29 pm

Where is the ddddddddddddddefense!! We better get this figured out quickly. They can’t possible shoot this well all night if we get a hand in their face.

Comment by TMGPanther 01.02.08 @ 7:52 pm

Chas, if this keeps up the “keeping it clean” will be very difficult.

Comment by TMGPanther 01.02.08 @ 7:56 pm

We are shooting good as well, 16 for 27 and 7 for 9 in 3pts/ not bad. Benjamin has 14 in the first half, Ramon has 8. Blair has 3 fouls already. He has to take it easy with the fouls. Lets go PITT

Ramon finding his stroke…3 of 4 from the three-point range…we need his confidence to grow!

Hail to PITT!

Panthers 13/13 from the field in the 2nd half

Comment by TMGPanther 01.02.08 @ 8:31 pm

Ramon has 9 assists ond NO turnovers playing point all night

Comment by TMGPanther 01.02.08 @ 8:43 pm

Who the hell is guarding Biggs that he has 19? Maybe Chas is guarding him.

Comment by Crackbaldo 01.02.08 @ 8:50 pm

Biggs and Ramon had good games…I really am shocked.

This did not look good at halftime and we gave up a ridiculously high percentage of shots.

Comment by Joey D 01.02.08 @ 8:59 pm

WOW…what a superb second half…not being able to watch the game, i don’t know the halftime adustments made (the way we shot–maybe it was just our shooting strokes), but after the Dayton loss (and they are in a one point game with Akron with 2 minutes left) this was an important win!

Hail to PITT!

Biggs obviously has to see this game tape and realize that he belongs inside like that. Taking three point shots should be a secondary, no, a tertiary option for him.

We looked good in that second half..we played physical and played our game, period. Benji came through for us. Second season starts.

Dick Groat said he expected levance back in 8 weeks. hope he is right.

Comment by TMGPanther 01.02.08 @ 9:28 pm

Someone asked regarding the Levance Fields surgery, I did not perform the procedure but I have performed the procedure, he will be out a minimum of 3 months.

I know he is a young guy and will rehab under strict supervision but this injury is very difficult to get over because of the physics of weight distribution throughout the foot and the stress’s that will be absorbed.

I do not think he will be 100% and return until the 2008-2009 season.

I hope I am wrong but the young man should not rush back because too much too soon could cause complications.

Comment by dr jimmy 01.02.08 @ 9:40 pm

Sorry to be a medical geek, but, Dr. Jimmy, are there any characteristics, either of a person’s foot or the break itself, that can suggest a greater likelihood of a quicker recovery?

Comment by Carmen 01.02.08 @ 10:21 pm

Can’t he just play in one of those black plastic boots or something?
