ABC.

It felt real good to type that link headline.

We all know Pitt is a heavy underdog in this game. We all know that Pitt isn’t given much of a chance, aside from the whole storyline of Pitt as the ultimate college football disrupter. That’s fine.

I’m not going to say I know Pitt can win this game. Certainly not after what happened last weekend against Miami’s defense.

But…

What if?

What if it all comes together one more time? Is it likely? Probably not.

But we can have hope. There’s nothing wrong with a little mindless fan optimism.

As much as I truck in cynicism and sarcasm. As caustic and venomous as we can get when Pitt loses or worse: goes ker-splat. It’s so much better to have some fun and be a bit hopeful of something amazing happening.

The hope I have is that Pitt lets it fly. There is nothing to lose with going all out and throw everything they can out there. That goes for the players and the coaches.

Enjoy this, and don’t make this the last trip to Charlotte in December.

Nobody predicted Pitt to beat Clemson in 16, gonna keep that streak alive. But there is always hope, its just that DL at Clemson reminds of Miami which smothered us. Our QB is simply too inexperienced for this, our OL is not as good as 16, Connor or our RBs this year. Our defense is better so hope springs eternal….nah. HAIL TO PITT

This is better than any bowl Pitt has been to in 13 years, so let’s enjoy the moment and not worry about how good or bad our chances are. H2P!!

Its finally over, now on to the bowl game. From our past bowl experiences I don’t see this team winning that one either. They are usually not prepared and the kids play as if they just want the season to be over. With two bad losses ( Miami and Clemson) how in the hell can these kids get up for another game? A bowl game offers nothing for these kids.

Recruiting, recruiting, recruiting is the name of the game and we are not at anywhere were we need to be.

There are many bowl predictions out there, but one that seems somewhat believable has Pitt in the Independence Bowl vs UAB (who disbanded FB a short few years ago due to budget issues).

Oh, and UAB has the 23rd ranked rushing D in D1 CFB, giving up 118 yards per game.

Sun Bowl? Stanford? New Years Eve? I don’t need a Chanukah present this year.

H2P!!!

Dreamer, tell me how this bowl game effects recruiting?
Most recruiting is already finished, they are just now going out to make sure their guys sign on the 19 of Dec.
Most of these games are already forgotten.

“Down in the west Texas town of El Paso, I fell in love with a Mexican girl” For all you fellow old timers the Sun Bowl reminds me of fondly of a bowl we went to on the climb to the National Championship. Then again there was poor Bill Stull trying to throw in gale force winds.
Go Pitt boys, a job well done.
HAIL TO PITT!!!

we all saw what the OL did without Morrissey. What are the chances that he returns for the Sun Bowl, or is he done for the year?
