Whoever is compiling the game notes is having a lot of fun this year.
Niagara isn’t a good MAAC team. They are 2-4 coming off of back-to-back losses to St. Francis. Brooklyn and then Pennsylvania. They lost at home to Grambling. This is a presumed cupcake game. And I’m fine with this.
Between what the football team put itself through in the non-con this season. And the full rebuild going on at the moment. This is absolutely the right non-con for Pitt. A few quality games scattered throughout, but mostly lower tier mid-majors.
The misery of going through the ACC every night will come soon enough. I’m enjoying seeing a young team that likes each other, the coach and is growing. Optimism is a nice feeling that I haven’t felt in basketball for some time. I’m in no rush to have it crushed too soon.
I Lyke the Capel hire and expect the team to be ACC competitive soon, but not this year.
