The kickoff time for Pitt and Syracuse’s November 3 game at Heinz Field has been set for noon. Similar to Saturday’s game against Cincinnati, it will be televised on ESPN Regional as the “Big East Game of the Week”. It can also be seen locally on WTAE.

Also, kicker Conor Lee was recognized as the Big East Special Teams Player of the Week (to be known as the BESTPOTW from now on). Lee accounted for 10 points against Cincinnati which ties his career high. He was perfect on three field goals (41, 25 and 37 yards) and one extra point. Lee, who is a candidate for the Lou Groza Award, extended his school-record PAT streak to 66.

Just a little more love for Shady who is now getting recognition for not only Big East freshman of the year but national freshman player of the year as well. Granted he will propably not win the award I could not seem to find any royster in the debate.

Hail to PITT !!!

Interesting factoid I ran across today. I’ve never seen this before.

Tony Dorsett is the only player in the history of football with the following five career achievements: A national college championship, a Heisman Trophy, a place in the Collegiate Hall of Fame, a Super Bowl championship, and a permanent place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I said at the end of last year that Conor Lee was one of our 3 best players (pre-Shady of course) and I stand by that. His clutch kicking has been outstanding. Congrats to him (and the rest of the PK unit).

Vote for Shady…he’s only getting 5% of the vote, even though he is the best player by far, just check his numbers and look at his line!
