Louisville-Pitt: Open Thread

Okay, I’m with Zeise on this one that I’m not holding out a lot of hope for the game today. That said, I’m in the ‘Burgh for the game and I’ll still be trying to nurse a little bit of optimism.

At the very least, I’ll be in there to cheer the seniors playing their final game for Pitt at home.

Pitt’s not going to get another quarterback like Palko for a very long time. It’s a shame that Paul Rhoa_s made his efforts practically meaningless.

Good luck in the NFL buddy. If you don’t make it there, good luck in whatever area of life you decide to take on. As others have said, you’re still the f’ing man.

I may be old fashioned but not a fan of the all gold uni’s. I would be much more supportive of the light blue and script uniforms then w/e you call those. The pants and the jersey’s weren’t even the same color gold, they looked kinda stupid if you ask me.

Palko is great. I love him. He is not a once in a decade guy with a good pipeline. He was special because of his effort and his work ethic. But he also was turn over prone and he threw a ton of picks this year and last though he had a high completion percentage. Bostick is supposed to be ranked as high or higher in many ways. No reason to call this the end of something great but rather the start of something new.

The NFL might have a problem with his many turnovers while carrying the ball or his forcing of the ball at times during his years at Pitt. I\’m guessing he gets drafted, but he has a lot to work on besides just throwing the ball well.

Editor Note: Bruce, I said you were banned. Regardless of whether you use your \”hot Argentinian wife\’s\” e-mail or not. Are you that pathetic that you need to draw attention to yourself. What? Did you lose your dog in a fire or something?

Best of luck to Tyler! I will never forget the Notre Dame Game or the WVU bootleg! He will be remembered as a winner in my book.
