The brackets get announced tomorrow at 6pm. I’ll be tweeting and trying to digest all the information. You can treat this post as an open thread on the remaining conference championship games and for the bracket announcements.

At 7pm there will be a livechat on the brackets and seedings that I’ll be moderating. Scheduled to join the fun are bloggers from VUHoops.com (Villanova), Eers to You (WVU), Johnny Jungle (St. John’s), Cracked Sidewalks (Marquette) and FriarBlog (Providence). There might be a couple others as well.

It’s going to be a little different from game liveblogs. It’s going to start out as a panel discussion with other Big East bloggers. Getting other perspectives and thoughts. There will be some questions and comments, but it will be a bit tighter on controls over what gets through.

As usual if you want to break the livechat out from the site, Click Here.

Otherwise it is below.

Is it sacrilege to say, as a Pitt fan and alumnus, that I’m pulling for Penn St. in this Big Ten final?

The Lions are down by 3, with two minutes left in the first half.

Regardless of who wins, I don’t think any bubbles are burst, nor does it change any bracket seedings (I have to think that OSU will still keep a #1 seed, and PSU is in as well.) Surely, the committee doesn’t look at the outcome of this game anyway.

On the seeding front, Yahoo/Rivals has Pitt the 3rd #1 seed. What’s kind of unbelievable they have Uconn a #2 seed. This is team that went 9-9 in the BigEast regular season. Yeah 9 & 9. Yes they won the BigEast tournament but are you kidding, a #2 seed.

Some strange results (shall we say) in the Big10 tourney, with just about all the bubble teams winning just enough games to more than likely get in the Big Dance.(see MSU, UM, PSU & Ill.) With the Penn State results the strangest. You can score 36 points and win an NCAA game these days, yeah right.

Pitt the 3rd #1 seed in the Southeast. Well deserved! HTP!

how is ND not in Duke’s bracket? They had to be the 1s 2nd seed .. Duke is being handed a cakewalk. They have it much easier than than OSU if you ask me

Alright we get New Orleans instead of Anaheim. What a relief ! Party time in the Crescent City and All….That…..Jazz !!

Needless to say the Big East has been good to Pitt in the past.

Ooops, Needless to say the Big Easy has been good to Pitt in the past. Can’t wait, they better not screw it up.

Great great draw for Pitt….Could not be more pleased. Be there in DC in force..

Completely agree – Kansas and Ohio State look like they have MUCH tougher brackets.

Can’t believe Florida is a #2.

Wisconsin and Kansas State are matched up against two popular upset picks.

Old Dominion is supposedly pretty good. Let’s get past them and maybe Houston can happen.

can’t ask for better bracket for pitt

Just read in the Trib that Zanna may be available next week, I assume by “next week,” it means for the Sweet Sixteen. Let’s hope he comes back and gets to play in a few games.

Oh my–Bilas has Pitt getting to Final Four (but losing); Vitale has Pitt getting to the championship game, but losing to Ohio State.

I haven’t watched Gottlieb, but I’m sure he has Pitt as the first #1 seed to lose to a #16.
