Obviously we have severely underestimated the secret society in New Zealand that Coach Dixon obviously holds the Blofeld spot. Do not fail him.

We know that Pitt has a verbal from Steven Adams, and that he has joined the NBL’s top team, the Wellington Saints this year. While Dixon’s tentacles have his people carefully positioned to guard, protect, and nurture Adams until he gets to Pittsburgh in 2012, that wasn’t enough.

He’s sent another of his people to help the Saints. A former New Yorker turned naturalized New Zealander named Casey Frank, will be joining the team.

Frank, who was Kiwi MVP in 2006, came off a very successful World Championship in Turkey last year, averaging 7.2 points in five games.

In his 10th NBL season, Frank who played under coach Jamie Dixon at Northern Arizona, will be able assist with the development of one of New Zealand’s biggest prospects, Steven Adams, who will also be playing under Dixon at Pittsburgh University in 2012.

It’s all about control.

Spanning the Globe to bring you Pitt related news-ladies and germs, Chas Rich… Hmm, 7.2 points in 5 games you say? I gotta get my head around those numbers…

Blofeld?? Thank God for google. I will now try to work that into a sentence sometime this decade.

Now wait a second, Chas.

You are amazingly knowledgable (as well as handsome and articulate) but I fail to see the social connection between Dixon and Frank.

I’m sure you know something I don’t here.

Ah, read the wrong article, sorry Chas. Dyslexia and ADD come with old age.

Great news Gibbs is playing on Saturday:

Even if he doesn’t play, it’s good gamesmanship — give SJ something else to plan on defending. The MCl may hurt Gibbs more on D than O anyway by limiting his ability to cut laterally.

I just hope Gibbs is not coming back too soon. Need him healthy for “March Madness”…..not necessarily for St. Johns. Says his knee is “almost 100%”, but still feels it once in a while. Don’t like Pitt’s chances in the tourney if he hurts it again and can’t play.

Hope Ash isn’t too rusty. We’ll need him to help bust the St. John’s zone.
