Liveblog: Pitt-USF

Noon start. Bad. Airing on ESPN2. Good.

Luke of course is handling things as is now the new normal. Yeah. I think that will be first and last time I ever use that phrase. I’ll be stuck finishing some things up with my kids, so I’ll probably be a little late to the liveblog.

I’ve been informed that the twitter feed with a #pitt hashtag has sucked in liveblogs lately. So that is out for today. Still have a few twitter feeds from relevant Twits, but not too many.

As usual moderated chat below the fold. Let’s hope there isn’t too much reason for moderation. Maybe a little less frustration today. Dare to dream.

As usual the liveblog is right below, but if you need to break it out from the site Click Here.

BigGuy… that argument is stupid.

didnt watch game yet… not sure i want to considering what ive read here

went to PSU/Indiana game at fedEx field… announced attendance of nearly 80k… quite the spectacle tailgating wise. Wore Pitt hat, most students arent even aware of the rivalry… what a shame

will be back home for Backyard Brawl… doing all i can to temper my excitement after epic letdown/beatdown against an above average Miami team that is 7-4… all the indictment needed to fire the yinzer buffoon. When he leaves the Big MAC his stupidity is on full effect (hard to beat teams that dont have less talent that you at every position except qb)

DeVanzo, are you saying that the coach whose team is leading the pack should be fired, but not the coaches of the seven teams who follow??? This calls for an explanation. One of us flunked Logic 101.

As for the rest of your post, I am looking for an interpreter. I can’t decipher what you are trying to convey.

What’s amazing to me is the fact that we have a nice level of athleticism at the WR position in the Wanny years. I really thought the WRU days of Walt & company would evaporate under Wanny. But, as mentioned, Baldwin/Shanahan/Street are truly a nice set of hands; some likely to play on Sundays.

I have to admit, I do not remember much about Street prior to this season…what a nice find.

Will close the comments by saying that Wanny IS responsible for the single greatest upset in the my history of watching Pitt football,45 years.

The second greatest was discussed by Dave Havern (today on The Fan) the QB of the 1970 team that came back from a 35-8 first half deficit to beat WVU. I was there and just sat in my seat for an hour after the game, taking it all in. Pitt scored 4 TC;s and 4 2 point conversions. If they miss any one of them, they lose. Only time I have ever seen college football players cry en masse (WVU). Hoopie fans killed the coach’s dog in his front yard (note he went on to have a pretty good career at FSU) and tried to set his house on fire. They hate us at WVU like we abhor PSU.
