Adidas Getting Behind Pitt

Looks like Pitt’s shoe company does not want to miss out on a chance to cash in (and let’s face it, part of why they do these contracts is with the anticipation/hope of such things) on the success.

This was sent to me by their PR people.

The “March is a Brotherhood” series includes Pitt. They are doing a series of 5 videos featuring NBA stars — who never went to college — adopting a team.

That’s the Atlanta Hawks’ Josh Smith — and no, he’s not actually rocking Tyrell Biggs’ number, that’s his number.

They have the “brotherhood t-shirt” and released a vegas-gold replica jersey using #45. Gee, wonder why.

I’m pretty sure that isn’t Pitt’s fight song he played.

I might need one of those t-shirts

Maybe adidas will finally stop assigning their interns to design Pitt’s apparel.

This is a joke. About as insincere as it gets and doesn’t make sense at any level. I know he’s not a household name, but Gray is the only NBA player who makes this pitch coherent. And don’t even get me started on how ugly this tripe is.
Let’s go Pitt! Beat WVU… again!

Maybe someone from Adidas reads this- I want Pitt gear that I can sport out on the court when I play ball. It’s kind of lame to wear a team jersey when you play pick-up. I like the warm-up shirts they wear before games…

McNeal is going to kick himself for that last play. Great finish to the Marquette-Villa game.

Uh yeah…it’s no surprise Nike is the #1 shoe company in the land after reading this post. Let’s just leave it at that.

I think its tremendous that we get Josh Smith. I think he’s going to be a terror next to Blair and Young up front.

Why the Aaron Gray love but not the Mark Blount love? He’s the one with the $50M contract! Just because he left after two years doesn’t mean he wasn’t a Pitt dude. Sure, all he did was dribble the ball off his foot for two years, but watching the 6’11” Blount jack up 29 footers while a horrified Dwyane Wade strangles himself with his draw-strings is one of the most enjoyable sights in all the land.

Very worried about tonight’s game. WVU would love this upset and played as good as I’ve seen them last night. Beating a team three times is always tough.
