Game Time Is Set

Be ready.

This is like a noon game. This is why I’m glad we played at Washington during the day. I know people remember Pacific and the guys not being ready….I think that’s one of the reasons we played that UW game. Now I just have to decide: do I tell my boss I’m taking a two hour lunch or do I just take a half-day? Since I’m on West Coast time, the two hour lunch would pretty much fit, and then I could go back to work for the dead time when there’s 0 or 1 games between 5 EST and 7 EST…

Anyway, I like the fact that MSU has to play first. Hopefully the guys will get up and be ready to play, maybe catch a few minutes of that game and then be ready to roll by the time 12:50 local time rolls around.

MSU and Temple at 10:30 am (right?) local time there will be tough for both teams. And this game technically starts 30 minutes after the first game so the start could be more like 3ET or even a few minutes later.

going to denver, is anyone else going? anyone know what the team hotel is, and where the alumni are going to gather. go pitt

I think Denver’s 2 hours behind, so MSU/Temple would be 10:30. From

it appears the 2 Denver games on Saturday will be at 4:40 and 7:10 Eastern. I would guess the Pitt bracket would be the early game, since I don’t see them switching early and late pods.

Women’s team a 6 seed versus Wyoming

Sorry, the link broke because it ran over one line long. Copy and paste into the browser if you want to go to the ncaa site.

Is there a “Blather” Bracket Challenge anywhere?

Melba, yes there is, here’s the link:

Or you can look at the actual post from yesterday.

Thanks HBG. I missed that post somehow.

Early afternoon (local time) won’t hurt us. ORU still has to be on the court at the same time.

I’m picking us to stomp over ORU, neutralize Neitzel with Fields and win with our bigs, slow down Memphis and get their bigs in foul trouble (surprisingly there’s actually a team out there that shoots FTs worse than us), and then fall to Texas.

It’s so hard to judge Pitt in this tournament. Will there be an emotional hangover and will we shit the bed against ORU? Great possibility. Could we look ahead to Memphis and not prepare for MSU/Temple? Sure. Could we beat Memphis? Absolutely. Could we go to the Sweet 16 and get hung up there AGAIN? Probably.

As you can clearly see, I’m really nervous but really fired up!
