Pitt On Demand

If you have Comcast On Demand, turn it on right now. There you’ll find a replay of Pitt vs. Providence from January 25, 1988. With Pitt holding a 6-5 lead and 15:24 left in the first half, we start the fast break. Jerome Lane gets the ball, winds up, slams it — broken backboard, glass everywhere, crowd goes nuts.

Here’s how: Your Town > Local Sports > Fox Sports Pittsburgh > Pitt Hoops

It’s the original broadcast with a few cutaways where FSN’s Rob King interviews former guard Jason Matthews. Watch it for yourself and you’ll enjoy it. You can also Pitt and UConn play for the 2003 Big East Championship with some commentary from Brandin Knight.

On the football side of the On Demand fun, you can watch the Blue-Gold game that happened back in the spring. I’ve yet to watch more than a few minutes of it but you might be able to gauge how a few more players look after watching it. From the On Demand main menu, go to Your Town > College Life > Pitt > Athletics. Your commentators for the game are FSN’s Marshall Harris as well as Foge Fazio.

I think we should use the Penn State Justice System on this one. Lets see here…felonies = cleaning a stadium…misdemeanors…hmm…i guess that would be cleaning on a small scale…like maybe wash the team bus after road games on sunday.

According to PSU, he shouldn’t even lose his starting position, much less miss playing time. Its bullshit if he gets any punishment at all, considering at PSU robbery, assault, and other felonies don’t get any sort of punishment at all. We need to stay competitive with the PSU’s and VTechs of this world.

And how come that kid from West Virginia that got arrested for posession got off because he said “it wasn’t mine”? Can he use that defense? Get that lawyer up here!

GD’it. Why can’t it be the reserve windy place kicker holder that this happens to? With our luck he would have broken his ankle or something on the first play of the year anyway.

Thanks for the tip on the Comcast On Demand. I watched the Jerome game dunk–I thought Bill Rafferty had made the famous call–was the game broadcast on two networks?

BTW, the 2003 BE championship game is on their too–fun game to relive.

The spring game is also On Demand (just found this out). I believe it is under Your Town-College Life-…and the rest seems to have eluded me at this point since I watched it at my parents house. I have the much more affordable and and all around better DirectTV.
