Ooooh. They’re In Black

So, the Golden Knights are excited about wearing black.

The University of Central Florida’s players can hardly contain their excitement for what they feel will be an electric atmosphere tonight at the Citrus Bowl.

The Golden Knights will unveil new black uniforms, fans are being asked to wear black as well, ESPN will televise the game nationally and Big East power Pittsburgh with head coach Dave Wannstedt will be across the way.

Let’s review. The game is at night. The players will be in black jerseys. The fans will be in black. Yeah, that will look great for the cameras.

Added bonus, it’s Friday the 13th in October. I wonder if these subtleties will somehow escape the ESPN crew calling the game? Please?

UCF is hoping to build on their last-second win over the Matthew McConaughey-led Marshall team that snapped their 3-game losing streak. Not to mention the hope that Pitt will be looking past this game for the match with Rutgers.

It doesn’t matter what color they wear, Pitt will win 31-13

I’m feeling that they might struggle early but pull away in the second half, which will be perfect ’cause I probably won’t be able to be near a TV from 8-9:30 or so!

hopefully Matthew McConaughey will be nowhere near any sidelines tonight. That guy is a jagoff.

This game seems like a good candidate for the old “mute the TV and listen to the radio” trick.

Or internet stream, in my case.

really looking forward to tonights game. I think they will be very focsued and look for a good effort.

Anyone else notice the chokies losing again last night. The typical and expected Beamer Ball collapse. They were ranked 11 2 weeks ago and will now probably drop out of the top 25

Pitt now has a good chance of getting ranked w/ Va Tech falling out of the top 25, all we need to do is win…let’s hope that’s not asking to much….oh yea, so much for ACC football, great choice Va Tech, Miami, and BC……Go PITT!

Georgia Tech and Clemson play this weekend. They could also meet in the ACC championship game. Also, Auburn plays UF in the plains this weekend. These two teams could also meet in their conference championship. That is a distinct possibility and reality. Conference championships are good, but they should not be rematches. Also, the problem with a conference championship game (ask LSU) is that the loser could end up, even though finishing No. 2 in the conference, with a 3rd, or even worse bowl position to represent the conference. We don’t need no stinking championship game.

If I may quote Wesley Snipes, in the great film “Passenger 57”, one should “Always bet on…”
oh, the hell with it. GO PITT!
