Assuming They Know How to Read

There are several flaws with this:

Now that WVU will have about 50 drinking stations beer vending locations in their stadium, the Hoopie braintrust decided that they can curb bad behavior with 5 simple rules to ignore — 6 if you include the request for “respect.”

I’m real curious about #1. If you won’t allow “intoxicated fans inside or outside the stadium,” then I assume that all parking around the stadium has been eliminated and actual attendance will be somewhere in the low hundreds.

UPDATE: Not sure why it isn’t showing up in some browsers. Try this:

The Hoopies will hang secruity. and if they inforce thoes rules the lot and the game will be down to just PITT fans . what a joke the Hoopies whould hang luck if they get the chance.

Well that’s a lock on my decision on never attending an away Pitt vs. WVU “backyard Brawl” game. Pretty sure me showing up in my Pitt gear there in front of 50,000 drunken Hoopies would be like waving a red cape at a bull. I don’t want to “actually” brawl. I wonder whether somebody will come up with the bright idea of setting up grandstands in the parking lots and initiate selling tickets for the weekend demolition derby that is going to result after the games?

As Sergeant Schultz said: “I see nothing!” !!

@Frankcan. For expansionpalooza’s sake, you may have been correct a few days back about Louisville. Hard to believe, and, we’ll see, but, Gene Wojechowski (sp), writer for Espn or S.I. (usually has good stuff about college football) says TAM’s partner is going to be Louisville!!! FLA doesnt’ want FSU, same with USC not wanting Clem and GA not wanting GA Tech, Kentucky doesn’t have the power to not include Louisville, and why would they, they play them every year anyhow.

Other than staying the same, maybe the worst thing that could happen for Pitt and the Big East!!! Instead of ACC or mix of ACC-BE, or stealing some teams, the BE would stay the same, minus Louisville.

We would then be looking for 4 teams, UCF, Houston, E Carolina and Memphis, UGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!

Better hope SEC wants to go to 16, because if it’s TAM and Plucking a Big East member, we’re even worse off.

I never thought of that scenario, nor do I want too!!!

Dan and if it comes abought and louisville leaves they will be such a hypocrite. i just read a post were a member of louisville administration said not his words but you get the point that pitt and rutgers were car dogs for trying to join the big ten and know one in big east listen to what they have to say any more. sour grapes maybe but if they leave hypocrites.

The cream always rises to the top…but what happens to WVU…where does SOUR cream go?

4. No throwing stuff (anything) onto the field.

I don’t know what is worse, the fact that they used the word “stuff”, or that they felt the need to clarify what stuff is.

Since you pretty much have to go undefeated to get to the National Championship game if you’re the Big East BCS team, Pitt could go independent in football and hang with the BigEast Catholic schools if the BigEast implodes in football. That way when we get to a BCS bowl we don’t have to share the money with anyone. That’s over $10 Million which is more than we’re making as a member of the BigEast now. Pitt still draws TV numbers better than 80% of the teams in D1, as several Pitt games have been the highest rated weekday games on ESPN. We could team up with Notre Dame, Navy and a few others for scheduling purposes and just do what FSU did before they became ACC members. Play everyone, anywhere.
