Blair Makes Many Look Silly

Not sure how many times already this season that DeJuan Blair has been highlighted by NBA hoop heads. Here’s a YouTube from his 28 point, 21 rebound night against the Thunder. Not a highlight reel, so much as an instructional on his game (Hattip to True Hoop).

Big Fella’s lookin’ svelt. He’s looking like career-prime Barkley minus the problem gambling and hookers.

Great comparison to Barkley. He’s doing Pitt proud. It’s a great time for Pitt players in the pro ranks right now with Revis and Fitzgerald both the best at their positons in the NFL. The best part is there all classy players. No rap sheets.

Couldn’t happen to a more deserving kid, either. I still wish he was under the hoop here at Pitt, but I’m happy for him. Go Spurs!

I’m happy for Blair and everything but the reason teams passed on him is his acl’s (or lack thereof). Everyone knew he could rebound. If he can stay healthy for two years then the teams that passed on him will regret it and look stupid.

“I’m going to take what he gave us tonight, and I don’t know how he did it,” said Popovich. “I have no clue what his moves are. He’s just a basketball player. He hustles his [tail] off, he’s got a nose for the ball, he’s got great hands and he does what you saw. We didn’t teach him any of it. He brought it all with him.”
