Sorry about getting the post out last minute. Out of the house for the afternoon and evening. Having a teeming distaste for humanity after being ordered to get last minute gifts for my wife’s boss and co-workers.

Join the fun below right around 7pm.

no doubt that Dixon and Brown makes this team much better — still too many turnovers and don’t see hwo we will compete under the baords in BE, but finally improvement

Probably the understatement of the year, wbb. As for competing under the boards…it starts with positioning…all coachable.

Here’s the difference:
1) People finished; namely, Nasir and Dante
2) GB provides the Offensive & Defensive upgrade
3) Wanny is back to a 3rd and 4th option on offense (where he belongs)
4) Chase Adams is on the bench (where he belongs)
5) Travon is on the bench (where he belongs)
6) Ashton is making his shots and his FTs

No reason why we can’t go .500 in BE ball with this lineup.

Travon actually played okay today. Wanny had 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Perhaps the offense should flow through him.

Travon’s averaging over 5 assists a game, not sure he belongs on the bench necessarily. Just needs some time to learn and gain experience to cut out the turnovers. Still he shows promise. But its great to have Dixon and Brown back.

A good game by Jermaine and Gil, and early on, Nasir was a force underneath the boards…but still too many turnovers—some just lazy passes…but we were feeding our “big” men down low, which was good to see.

Hail to PITT!

If Gil Brown did nothing else during his exile, clearly he worked on the jump shot. Did he miss one last night?

no…he as 4-4 and 1-1 from the line.

Taylor looked a little more comfortable last night. It would be huge if he comes around sooner rather than later. They need to cut the turnovers, especially Wanny, he has too much experience to continue the lack of control. Brown seemed to fit right in, much needed. Dixon looked more confidant. Gibbs is solid.

Hopefully one more tune-up with DePaul and then it is time to play defense and win ugly. Going to be really tough on the road, but maybe we can steal one.

I can’t believe how many unforced turnovers Woodall makes. Wannamaker and Robinson often gets themselves in bad situations ending up 1 on2 or 1 on 3, leading to turnovers ..but Woodall just seems to make passes to players that don’t exist. There were two passes last night whom I had no idea what his intentions were.

Taylor will not see more action until his defense improves. While he is a good off-the-ball shotblocker, he still needs much work on positioning. I believe this team can turn the corner with Dixon and Brown, if and when Taylor sees the light.
