It’s hard to have a jinx when they do a slew of these by market.

Is this actually only a regional cover? Living in California, what will I get, an Arizona guy on the cover? A St. Mary’s Road to the NIT title cover?

Levance looks real chunky in that picture. Too many Rothlisburgers and no treadmill to counteract the tasty fatty flavor means you will take pictures like these.

He can play point guard real good though.

Just went to the open practice – a bit of a disorganized session, the starters seemed pretty loose shooting FTs and having a bit of a jumping contest on the boards — the backups, especially wannamaker, looked extremely tight and gibbs looked a bit frustrated missing a lot of shots (though relaxed a bit by the end). Near the end of the open session everybody took a half court shot – some missed by alot, some were close — the last one to go was Levance and he nailed it.

That’s two Pitt covers I missed by not living in PA anymore.

At the major booksellers, they should have a couple copies of every cover in stock.

“Brian in boston.” If you’re not using Twitter, please start now and let us know where to follow you. This is the kind of information we should be getting from the local print types who are now blogging for their respective papers — albeit in a neutered fashion.

Alas – probably no more updates, but excellent idea on a twitter feed (if there was someone traveling w/ the team that could feed us updates). I’m probably not that guy.

The half court shot contest is something that happens after the end of every home practice, although I’ve heard that they also do it in the Garden because that is our “second home”. Not that it matters, but I guess Dixon has them doing it there to feel at home?
