Good Things In Boston

Awesome. CBS is sending Bill Raftery and Verne Lundquist up to Boston to continue stalking Pitt.

The truly obsessed and early arrivers can go watch Pitt practice on Wednesday from 2:10 – 3 pm at the TD Banknorth Garden. Xavier practices at noon.

If you’re a New Jerseyan not going to Boston:

A fellow alumnus and I are going to:
Fox and Hound English Pub & Grille – Edison
250 Menlo Park Drive
Edison, NJ 08837
to watch the game Thursday night. It’s a big bar with lots of TVs and, most important, has the Direct TV NCAA package.

You’re welcome to join us and if there are enough of us, I’m sure we’ll be able to wangle one of the really big TVs in the back. Just let me know and I’ll arrange it.

Hail to Pitt!

Any Pitt fans in the Cleveland Area, there’s a few of us going to Golic’s Sports Bar on the corner of West 6th Street and West Lakeside Downtown for Thursday’s game. They have tons of large TVs and Direct TV. We usually wrangle the entire bar area to watch the Pitt game, and because we’re regulars and live nearby, we can get 10% off food and booze for friends. You’re welcome to join us.

I’ve got two (2) tickets for the two (2) Sweet 16 games and the Elite Eight in Boston, but can’t go. If anyone would like to buy them, please contact me at zgelacek@gmail.com.

Where’s the biggest (and/or best) gathering spot for Pitt fans and alumni in the Harrisburg area? If yinz know, yinz can email me at shawn1970@yahoo.com.

You guys are lucky making your sweet 16 plans. I have the double whammy of living in Kansas, so NO ONE out here wants to watch the Pitt game; AND I have to work during the Pitt game (again). =-(

Here in Tampa, I know there are a few Pitt alums/fans hanging around, but I don’t know any of them.

Vern Lundquest is terrible.

Jimbo Covert’s my dad, pick a spot and let Alyson at the Alumni Association in Pittsburgh know and she will publicize it to Tampa area alumni.
