The Silliness Loves Pitt

It’s as scientific as any other system.

Hat tip to UConn Blog, which feels extremely betrayed by the lack of canine solidarity.

It’s no more reliable than “expert” picks.

I believe some countries elect their public officials in this manner as well……

…So I’ve secured my game ticket and on my way to LaGuardia soon. Warm up the O-fries! Warm up the O-fries! Warm up the O-fries!

Although I would have retired Brandin Knight’s number regardless, I find it extremely coincidental that they did it on a night that had the possibility to be Blair’s last home game.

Brandin Knight (4 year player) was a program changer. Krauser and Sam Young (both 4 year players) are very good college players, but if Blair (also a program changer) stays 4 years (or maybe even 3) his number will be the next to hang in the rafters.

I think this was a decision that Shady also wrestled with, knowing he could be the face of PITT football for years to come, but he chose to go in the opposite direction, understandably so. Hopefully the fact that basketball is less injury prone than football changes the way Blair looks at the situation.

I doubt Fitzgerald and McCoy will ever have their numbers retired due to the fact that they only played 2 years.

Unfortunately word from the Hill barber shop is that Blair is loooonnnnggg gone. Too bad we can’t honor him tomorrow with the others.

Note that in addition to its seniors, Louisville also honored junior Earl Clark because it is known that he will declare. He got the full treatment included a framed jersey.

09 football schedule includes at least 5 nationally televised games. ND, Friday nite games at UL and Rutgers on ESPN, WVU on Friday after Thanksgiving and following week at home vs Cincy (ABC or ESPN.)

2nd year in a row that WVU isn’t last game — maybe the River City Rivalry will become more important than Backyard Brawl (ha,ha)
