I look forward to this story in the next alumni e-mail.

A former defensive lineman for the Los Angeles Raiders and the Cleveland Browns pleaded guilty yesterday to helping his live-in girlfriend run a high-end prostitution ring out of his parents’ Monroeville home.

Three other defendants face charges this month in connection with the prostitution and drug ring investigators say was run by the ball player’s girlfriend, Amy Schifano.

After kissing his mother and hustling his parents out of the courtroom, a subdued John Robert “Buck” Buczkowski, 43, stepped forward and pleaded to two counts of promoting prostitution, six counts of possessing and dealing cocaine, and one count each of participating in a corrupt organization, conspiracy, dealing in the proceeds of an illegal activity and illegal use of a cell phone.

He faced a sentence of 431/2 to 87 years had he gone to trial. Instead, he agreed to testify against his co-defendants if they proceed to trial.

After a short-lived career in the NFL, the former Gateway and University of Pittsburgh football star bought the Gold Rush restaurant and bar in Monroeville and ran it with his parents.

The girlfriend seems to have been a real go-getter. She seemed to be the brains and facing the most charges. Buck apparently was the muscle.

I didn’t believe it then, or now. No, not the charges, the claim that this was a high-end prostitution ring. Out of Monroeville? For around $200/appointment? Talk about the affordable prices in Pittsburgh.

So Stuart had once proposed that LaVon Chisley being charged for murder is a black eye on PSU football, even though the alleged incident happened over a year after he was dismissed from the team. By that “logic,” I guess Pitt is looking pretty bad right now, huh? OR I guess it’s conceivable that maybe, just maybe, Stuart was exaggerating JUST a little…

Nobody died in Monroeville, Stewie. Lavon Chisley cruelly butchered a man with a knife, writing racial slurs on the wall of the victim’s apartment in the victim’s own blood and spilling his guts all over Patton Township. Get some perspective, you idiot.

By the way, go read your own damned site. You accuse Pitt fans of being obsessed with Penn State? You crave Pitt. You can’t stay off this website. You need that enemy more than we do. At least we have a rival in the Big East (WVU). Nobody in the Big Ten cares about you. Nobody would care if you left the conference tomorrow. Ohio State and Michigan fans barely know that you exist.

The typical Pitt rationalization. Anyhow, glad that you missed the part where I DON’T think that this makes Pitt look bad. This guy made his choice long after his football days were over, just like Chisley did. I don’t see why it should reflect badly on either university, I was just using Stuart’s “logic.”

Anyway Lee, say what you want about our standing in the Big 10. Most teams consider us the second biggest game on their schedule, so to hell with “rivalries” (if you can call WVU kicking your teeth in every year a rivalry). Either way, the Top 25 voters sure as hell know we exist…

lee, you’re right, it seems psu fans cant stay off of this site.
“Most teams consider us the second biggest game on their schedule” is the funniest thing ive heard in awhile. most big 10 teams would consider michigan and ohio state the 2 biggest games on their schedule, and i bet michigan’s #2 game is michigan state.

what do the voters have to do with anything? aside from 1 good year psu football has been irrelevant for the past 5

I read this blog because you guys are a very interesting case study in human behavior. Moreover, often times I find myself astounded as to how you can relate just about ANYTHING to the state of PSU football.

That said, my original point was to NOT denigrate your university, but you seemed to have looked right past that. Must be because anything that comes from a PSU fan must automatically be slander.

Your hate is based on nothing more than jealousy, and I’ll return when you guys are open to intelligent debate.

So Lil’ Stewie is gone? I’ll bet $50 he comes back . . . probably under a new nic. Honestly I think if you ask most Ohio State fans who their 2nd biggest game is against they would give the same answer as their biggest game: that team up north. Also holds true for their 3rd and 4th biggest games.

Comment by Cris 06.05.07 @ 10:49 pm

I have no hate towards PSU and I am not jealous either. We have our own problems to deal with than to envy the problems of another team.

See ya, Stewie. You’re a disgrace to an otherwise fine university, as well as an otherwise classic cartoon character.

Two points. First, you have to watch comparing Penn State player behavior to Pitt player behavior. Pitt, although a fine university, doesn’t claim to be the paragon of virtue in college football. Penn State does. It always cracks me up when Penn State fans claim to have a higher standard, and then complain when anybody else holds them to that standard. At the end of the day, I think you’re right, Stewie. Penn State is no better than anybody else.

Second, Stewie, if you would have read this site a little longer, you’d know that I’m an alumnus of both Pitt AND Ohio State. I know Buckeye Nation as well as I know Pitt, and trust me, you’re not even close to being the second biggest game on Ohio State’s schedule — even on years that you happen to beat OSU. Illinois (OSU’s original rival, historically), Wisconsin, at least one solid out-of-conference foe (Texas), and oh, yeah, That School Up North always draw more excitement than Penn State in Columbus — with all due respect to the Nittany Lions.

Cris, I got at least another $50 at least that Stewie comes back. Now lets talk about Pitt. I hear enough PSU crap every day around here.

How could this case make Pitt look bad? The man is a TOTAL PIMP!

Comment by Patrick 06.06.07 @ 11:36 am

What exactly do pimps wear and drive in Monroeville? Dockers, polo shirts, and Honda Accords?

you can see why the Katz School is one of the top public business schools in the nation. Bob was just a guy filling a need, trying to get by. Is there any chance the girlfriend was related to drew schianio the wvu basketball player. same last name and both were from penn hills i believe.

Comment by Kurt 06.06.07 @ 7:04 pm

Does this guy save all my posts? Holy crap, I’d forgotten I wrote that on the other site. Good to see he has teriffic cross-referencing skills…

The house his parents lived in is about 2 blocks from my house. Its weird to think of that because everything out here is so boring (prostitutes and drugs? where?). Plus this case has been going on for 2 years now, talk about dragging it out…
