Our friends at the Fighting Wannstaches took a rather tongue and cheek suggestion to produce a new logo for the BIG SPRAWL Conference and ran with it.

So tell me this: When the PAC 10 was going to expand to 16 teams by adding Texas, Texas Tech, Ok, and Ok ST, Utah, and Colorado it was defined as a great, bold move by the Pac 10. Teams from Texas, to Southern CA, to Washington State. No talk of the big “PAC Sprawl”, no mention of their “bloated” 16 team basketball conference. So the big east goes out and gets the best football team it could get. One that has been better than any team in the BE over the last three seasons, and better than most teams in the country over the last three seasons, and what do we have here on this blog? The Big Sprawl! That’s great. Are those of you that are so critical attending a lot of road games…and walking to them from Pittsburgh? Are you upset about having a 17th BB member (out of 350 D1 programs)? Here’s a news flash, we could add UCF, Houston, and Memphis (if Nova does not step up in FB), go to 20 BB teams and still have a great BB conference where all teams play each other at least once. Boo-hoo we might have to play two less game against the Riders of the college BB world! Get over it!!!
