How?

With Maurice Clarett, many ask how a kid with such potential to earn a fortune in football could piss it all away. I’m now wondering how he managed to hold it together as long as he did.

Maurice Clarett was arrested early Wednesday after a highway chase that ended with police using Mace on the former Ohio State running back and finding four loaded guns in his sport utility vehicle, a police spokesman said.

Officers used Mace to subdue Clarett after a stun gun was ineffective because the former Fiesta Bowl star was wearing a bullet-resistant vest, Sgt. Michael Woods said.

“It took several officers to get him handcuffed,” Woods said. “Even after he was placed in the paddy wagon, he was still kicking at the doors and being a problem for the officers.”

Safe to say that the entire Buckeye Nation is just hoping he goes to jail very soon and for a long time. Just so they don’t have to take more crap for having to acknowledge he was ever a part of their team. Right Lee?

The Mahoning Valley Hitmen? Maybe the four guns in the car indicate that Clarett took the name of his new team too literally.

but guys it’s the system’s fault, it’s the fault of the NFL for not letting him into the NFL to make money, it’s the fault of Ohio State for not helping him out more, it’s the fault of the NCAA, basically it is everyone’s fault except for Mr. Clarett…..and the sad part was this was an actual sports announcer’s viewpoint.

You failed to mention that Clarett also had a hatchet and one of the guns was an assault rifle!

And he was getting his goose on

Was that last comment in the post sarcasm? I highly doubt that any tOSU fan is the least bit embarrassed that this hired gun (literally) had no business anywhere near the university, any more than they are embarrassed that the referees gave them their mNC or that they’ve had more booster scandals in the past 5 years than the rest of the NCAA. Pretty shameless bunch. Right up there with the Nits denial of the double (and triple and quadruple) standards their coach practices regarding discipline of players the past few years. And I say that as someone who loved tOSU as a kid and has a great deal of respect for most of Joe Paterno’s accomplishments.
