It’s a time to leave it all out there after last week.

Literally got to the press box just before kickoff. A 3:30 kickoff and a chance to be with friends for some real time. It was all the reasons why I have been coming to Pitt games for the last 20+ years. And I’ll be damned if I was going to cut it short.

Do I have unreasonable/irrational optimism? Yeah. Is it substance enhanced? I don’t think so, but I’m not voluntarily submitting to any tests.

Site is dead…went dormant too long

We need a running back with some explosiveness. Don’t see it from these guys. They never break one. How do you hesitate when there is no one in front of you?

Comment by Keith 09.21.19 @ 4:27 pm

A little off in my score prediction but who cares? Hail to Pitt!

WOW, simply wow. Can a good OC make that much difference? Nit to mention the D……..

Great win.

I came here daily even when it was dormant. I wish I could express myself as well as Chas on the blather, Mike at the POV & of course Reed. All passionate in their own way.

They have a really good defense this year and if the offense doesn’t turn the ball over they have a good chance at a real good season.

Narduzzi really is genuine and relates to his players and this team did not quit or give up at all and fought through the injuries and mistakes today.

GREAT WIN!!

I rarely comment anymore because too much negativity by bloggers that have very little knowledge on what coaching really is and continue to beat things to death. PSU is a very good team and so are the Panthers, they will be competitive this season.

H2P

Agree Wlat…Our Panthers just played competitive football against top 20 teams in two consecutive weeks. This team is close to where we need to be as a program.

Comment by HbgFrank 09.22.19 @ 8:24 am

HbgFrank – we’ve played 3 top 20 teams so far since Virginia was ranked 21 yesterday. Don’t know that any team has done that. Foolish schedule but it’s nice to see Pitt be competitive.

Those kids play their asses off for narduzzi. Great to see. Can be a fun ride for the rest of the season.

Comment by Velvil 09.22.19 @ 10:23 am

HCPN hasn’t lost the team as I speculated last week. Still a ton to improve but the team is improving. Just don’t rob the glint of hope the fans now have.

Comment by xkegroller 09.22.19 @ 11:19 am

Not one team left on the schedule is ranked not showing any reason Pitt can’t beat them. I see Miami and UNC being the biggest challenges – Miami because of 4 star talent and UNC because Duzz has yet to beat them.

By the way, UNC lost to App State yesterday.

It was good to see the win.

I agree with Keith and I blame that on Narduzzi who pulled a Dixon by allowing his best recruit and RB from 2018 be placed below marginal RB’s like V. Carter,Davis Jr., because he was rehabilitating from an injury. These kids work hard and when they get hurt they do not expect to fall behind the lesser talent. I am speaking ofMychale Salahuddin a true 4* or better RB who decommitted from USC to come to Pitt.
Now he’s transferring. If Narduzzi had any humbility he would talk to Mychale and say they made a mistake and he still can come back.
He is the future of Pitts’s RB’s. Like to see him and Sydell in the same backfield. Back to smash mouth football rather than backs that are slow to the line, can not break an arm tackle, and have no footwork. Pitt is no longer RB U playing carter, barely a D1 player, and Davis Jr D1 backup, possibly.
Narduzzi swallow your pride get your best recruit to reconsider

Comment by Dennis Wagner 09.24.19 @ 9:51 pm

Agreed, Dennis. The RBs have turned into a weakness instead of a strength as we thought they would be.

Comment by VoiceofReason 09.25.19 @ 10:09 am

I also said this before: Why is there no power running back available for short yardage situations when even a walk on would be suitable for this purpose?
