Quick Decorum Reminder

Filed under: Admin — Chas @ 10:21 am

Folks, I know that there are a lot of comments flying with the football stuff. Emotions are tending to rise and fall — mostly rising at this point. I also know there are a lot of new people trying to comment.

With that in mind…

1. Don’t be an ass. You are not speaking truth to power. You are not the only one who sees things clearly and the rest are idiots and blind sheep. I have to be honest. It’s been a long season, and I’ve tried to let things go, but several people are coming up to the line where I have had enough of it and will start banning people to bring things under control.

2. If you are new and you don’t see your comments showing up in discussion it is because I missed them or haven’t approved them. New comments are held for review to make sure that they aren’t spam, from previously banned commenters trying to slip in under a different email, and just for appropriate content. Drop me an e-mail if you are concerned: pitblather-at-gmail-dot-com

3. In that vein, insulting me or any of the other writers, slash complaining in the comments that you are being banned or censored won’t help you in getting the comments approved. I’m more than happy to let you believe you are a victim.

4. Sock-puppetry will almost certainly result in being called out and immediately banned.

Hopefully that will cover it.

I actually think this report can be very bad. I think Chryst leaves anyway. Unless it comes out that Pitt made a very competitive and attractive offer, and there was nothing that would keep Chryst from going home. Otherwise it looks like Pitt is not willing to make the necessary commitment to football and that is why Chryst left

Love the Quint reference. Robert Shaw was amazing playing the gruff fisherman.

Losing recruiting classes is a big problem for a school like Pitt that can’t attract the fours and fives. We are just starting to recover from the two lost classes. It may not hurt right away, but it is why we are the youngest team, and youth causes losses. Senior laden teams are less likely to collapse vs Iowa or not answer the bell vs Akron.

We need more and better players as well as competent coaching. No matter how this goes down.

Comment by gc 12.14.14 @ 12:38 am

Pap maybe you forgot Rob Dowdy, Q. Henderson, Kraig Howe all are high rated 3 star. When end of year rankings come out they will be 4star. This with the guys you mentioned, and more close to committing this class is better than most people think.

Comment by pd 12.14.14 @ 12:43 am

Who knows what the truth is at this point, lots of rumors and speculation. Settle doing his job trying to settle down a nervous recruit.

Maybe Chryst using Pitt to get the best deal possible from BA, negotiation 101. Maybe not a potato head.

Comment by gc 12.14.14 @ 12:50 am

Maybe he likes Pittsburgh, a lot more cosmopolitan than Madison.

Also hard to leave a job you have not finished, especially with Conner, Boyd, and the Big O–line.

Comment by gc 12.14.14 @ 12:56 am

You get the right coach a few 4 & 5 star kids would come to Pitt. i hope someone (Gallagher) “cough” is thinking the same way.

I still think HCPC is gone come Wednesday.

I just hope that Steve is clearing out his office at the same time and that our new Chancellor is bringing a new and much needed way of thinking about the football team into the office.

Comment by Tony in Harrisburg 12.14.14 @ 12:58 am

Maybe he sees a future in pro ball after hanging out with guys next door.

Comment by gc 12.14.14 @ 12:59 am

@ pd and gc:

Good points. I like Rudolph. He is a good recruiter and he is from here. I just want Pitt to make the right decision, not the safe one.

A good coach can save most of this class, win 6-8 next year with the talent on this team, all the while building his program.

My other concern with Rudolph is that Chryst needs a staff at Wisconsin too. So if Chryst takes Hueber, Settle, Douglas, Lewis and Palermo with him, Rudolph may be left with House and Haering. Ugghhh

Comment by Pap76 12.14.14 @ 12:59 am

Maybe BA told him he is not getting the job, but use us to sweeten the deal at Pitt.

Comment by gc 12.14.14 @ 1:02 am

I guess House would stay if asked.

Comment by gc 12.14.14 @ 1:04 am

After being a season ticket holder for 27yrs, I have to believe we are finally due to have the ball bounce in our direction. Not just lightning in a bottle like V Tech or Boise St. once in a while…..but a program. Hard not to believe we r not jinxed. We have to be due. Can’t the football gods allow us to get some good fortune? After 3 decades, are we not due? I wish I knew the answer. At least try. We have to pay if we a different outcome. I am tired of not playing the game. As a Pgh fan, we have to buck up. Tired of commiting more than caring more than the school cares. Go for it. If it fails, atleast we for it. The time is now. Acc money can finally play a role.

Comment by ck 12.14.14 @ 1:06 am

Remember Chryst had over a decade as an offensive coordinator before he got his 1st head coaching gig. Many of them under defensive minded Brett Bielema, which means Chryst probably had complete control of that offense. Chryst still struggled at times learning on the job as a head coach.

Rudolph has 3 years experience as OC and wasn’t even CVhryst’s 1st choice as OC, Bob Bostad was. I also have to think Chryst has a role in offensive game planning and play calling.

Again what do I know? I try to take everyone from media to Pitt fans and blatherites opinions into consideration and then form my own.

If Rudolph is ready and Pitt does their due diligence, so be it…

Pitt has honestly been lucky to stay .500 through all this turnover. If Chryst is indeed leaving, and I believe he is, they BETTER get this right…

Comment by Pap76 12.14.14 @ 1:09 am

Rudolph to me is SOP. He would be the cheap & safe pick that no one else is looking at. Wisconsin think he would be a good offensive coordinator maybe.

If one of the big boys wouldn’t consider a candidate than Pitt shouldn’t.

Why is it so easy for us to accept that Penn State has the 8th highest paid coach and we can’t break to the top 25?

We aren’t even close to that amount. Hell they should have fat stacks of cash saved from all the $$ they didn’t pay Wanny & Chryst.

look at this list

link to sports.usatoday.com

We pay SLIGHTLY ($4,000) more than Navy???? 59 other schools pay more for their head coach.

We go to the bargain bin again & again. I don’t think Wanny would have had the job if he didn’t take a pay cut for the good of the school.

Comment by Tony in Harrisburg 12.14.14 @ 1:29 am

“Chryst apparently not the puppy some think. Can you say leverage. The man wants to win.
Comment by gc 12.13.14 @ 11:28 pm”

Or he’s a nice guy and wants the next man at Pitt to come into a much better situation than he did. So he plays Gallagher for a few days and gets all this stuff out in the media. If Gallagher really wants to put more into the program, PC is helping prepare the ground for doing so whether he stays or not.

Comment by deepelemblues 12.14.14 @ 1:30 am

To the HATERS…

Seems Chryst might be very much UNDER-rated as a Recruiter.

According to Ohio Runningback Commit Darrin Hall, it was Chryst himself who made a difference.

********
Hall said Chryst was “great to my family” during the recruiting process. “He and my mom get along real well,” Hall said. “That was a big plus.”

Guys, I just don’t know what to think anymore. I believe the Pitt football team is poised to make a big jump next year. For that reason, the idea of keeping the current system in place is appealing. Whether that means Paul Chryst or Joe Rudolph being the Pitt coach come spring practice. Sometimes you’re better off with the devil you know. A new guy from outside the program will bring changes, which could be good or bad. Regardless there will be a transition period. I think the administration is sensitive to the turmoil the program has gone through since the firing of Dave Wannstedt. I am not afraid of promoting Joe Rudolph, because people with the program have seen him first hand on a day to day basis, where as other schools haven’t. The promotion of Jamie Dixon despite all the initial criticism, worked out well. If however they decide to go outside the program to hire a coach, I would prefer someone like Tom Bradley, because Bradley knows the territory and has a tremendous credibility with high school coaches in the area. He’s an extremely competent defensive coordinator which is double bonus, it’s an area that need improvement and he will probably leave the current Pitt offense in tact. If we bring in a guy with spread offense, we are looking at possibly another 2 or 3 years to get all the parts in place. That’s not something, that anyone really wants. With our current offensive line, James Connor, Tyler Boyd and the progress made by Chad Voytik, the Panthers can be successful in the immediate future

Comment by Justinian 12.14.14 @ 7:47 am

By the way, Darrin Hall also speaks highly of Runningback Coach John Settle.

The evidence is there to suggest Settle has been an INCREDIBLE asset to the Program… both on the field (Conner et al) and now apparently off the field as well.

Comment by PittofDreams 12.14.14 @ 7:50 am

@wbb..because Pitt wasn’t winning game…that is the ONLY thing that makes a difference with Pitt attendance. Who they sign for coach only makes a difference in attendance if he wins.

More wanted Wanny gone than wanted to keep him at the point he was hired…Pitt was one year removed from losing Big East championship to Cinn (a game many thought Wanny was the reason they lost..remember they were up 31-17 at halftime).
Everyone was expecting big things in 2010 and he lost 5 games including being embarrassed by WVU at home.

If you were in the minority and wanted to keep him then you were right that we should be happy where Wanny had the Pitt football program and he was our best shot to keep it there. And at the time I agreed..Stability is important and seemed he still had good recruits coming in,

However, in hindsight I think it was probably best that Pederson did get rid of Wanny when he did though…if he had another bad season in 2011 it would of gotten even uglier for Wanny’s head (of course who knew it could get even UGLIER with new coaching hires) and the discipline and trouble kids Wanny had recruited was troublesome as well.

Comment by milobloom 12.14.14 @ 7:54 am

Jury still out on Defensive Backs Coach Troy Douglas.

Despite appearing to be a NO-NONSENSE Guy, Douglas seems to have had little impact in improving the play of the Secondary, especially Lafayette Pitts.

Comment by PittofDreams 12.14.14 @ 7:54 am

So what really is going on with chryst pitt and wisconsin. I honestly have no clue what is going on. Cant understand why u keep recruiting unless y you are planning on staying. Not a good sell to have recruits in and say, oh by the way i might notbe here next year.

Comment by pittisit37 12.14.14 @ 8:00 am

Justinian…

Absolutely true that this Team is a Year away from taking a MAJOR STEP Forward. With improved play by the Defense and at Quarterback, “Top 25” is more than just a possibility.

And the Year after that, in my opinion this Team very well could rise to the level of a TCU.

But for any of that to be possible it is going to require staying the course in terms of the type of Offense that this Team runs. Since Chryst took over, the emphasis has been on building the a Power Run/Pro Style Passing Offense… starting with all of the HUGE Lineman recruited to play Offensive Line.

That said, if Chryst leaves… you can bet it will be Rudolph.

People downgrade CONTINUITY. But for a Team so close to realizing success… it’s a Highly Valued Asset.

Comment by PittofDreams 12.14.14 @ 8:15 am

Bo is the coach to hire. He would utilize the current and recruited players correctly, keep the class together and most likely add some good D players.

Bo knows!

I like Rudolph but they need to hire a proven head coach.

Comment by notrocketscience 12.14.14 @ 8:20 am

Best scenario:

Pederson fired.

Chryst demanded future plans for facility upgrades including a new Pitt stadium as well as more money for assistance and recruiting.

Gallagher agrres to Chryst demands but the plan includes Bo Pelini as head coach and Rudolph as OC.

I can dream.

Comment by notrocketscience 12.14.14 @ 8:26 am

I think it would be short-sighted to hire Rudolph for the sake of continuity or just to keep one recruiting class together- we have a really bright chancellor and I’m hoping he has a grander vision than that… That said, I do think Rudolph is worthy of consideration as our next HC b/c of his experience as a recruiter, assistant HC, and offensive coordinator, along several other attributes.

Comment by 1618mt 12.14.14 @ 8:27 am

milo, despite the presence of the fast-talking Texan who promised an exciting offense, ticket sales were down from 2010 and ended up more than 10% decline even though ND was on the schedule.

The best attendance has been 2003 followed by 2009, 2008, and 2010 – followed closely by 2013 (1st year in ACC with FSU and ND.) Attendance is back down this year, despite two really exciting players to watch.

I just think the entire Pitt nation (and locals) have been pretty well turned off by the continuous soap opera since 2010, and it may take a long while to repair. Losing another coach will probably not help

Comment by wbb 12.14.14 @ 8:32 am

The comments by Hall lead me to believe that one of two things are happening:
A) Chryst is staying and Pederson is canned and their will be a huge increase to football budget
B) Chryst is leaving and Pederson is staying and a cheap hire will be made and the team stays 6-6 for 4 more years

I hope it’s A

Comment by John 12.14.14 @ 8:36 am

Not helping attendance was losing your second and third home game especially the ways they were lost to Iowa and akron

Comment by John 12.14.14 @ 8:40 am

Rudolph… Former NFL Lineman, Reportedly GOOD Recruiter, Western PA Guy with an MBA from Carnegie Mellon.

You can bet he’s “the Guy” if Chryst leaves.

In fact, BET THE “HOUSE!”

Comment by PittofDreams 12.14.14 @ 8:40 am

notrocket, I think Bo would be a great splash hire but not sure he wants to be here if SP is here. Remember, he was on Solich’s staff and promoted to interim HC for the bowl … but then ignored by SP as he went through all his options.

I really don’t know how Bo feels about our AD, but my guess is that it is not that affectionate.

Comment by wbb 12.14.14 @ 8:42 am

Pitt seems to value character in it’s hires (Dixon, Chryst), therefore I can’t imagine a radical shift in approach to bring in a guy like Pelini – to me, thank would be hypocritical.

Also, even though I actually like the idea of Rudolph, I would not want him (or Chryst) unless they plan on upgrading/replacing the DC position, and I wouldn’t give in on that.

Comment by 1618mt 12.14.14 @ 8:47 am

wbb

True…they may not like each other. Plus, Pelini will have other schools going after him. Pitt would have to be super aggressive. Usually doesn’t happen.

Gallagher really needs to show us something here.

Comment by notrocketscience 12.14.14 @ 8:51 am

Either way, I don’t see a way that Steve Pederson comes out of this standing. The program just looks bad right now under his direction. plain and simple. Lets look back at this past year, the pitt script return speaks volumes. To me it was a statement from Gallagher that he was in charge. If I was to illustrate a comic on the state of the pitt ad, it would be with Gallagher standing bold and strong while pederson cowers in the corner with his hands tied. At the end of the day, I don’t see how you keep SP in this position.
Now, I am 100% confused if Chryst is planning or staying, but what clout does he really have to make demands especially in regard to who his predecessor is. I like continuity, in many ways it can be good. We took a chance on Dixon and he turned out to be an excellent hire; so why not with Rudolph. Watching him on the sidelines, I like what i see as far as from a leadership perspective. Would welcome him with open arms if that is the direction that Pitt is headed. Everyone deserves a chance to show they can succeed so why not. His hire would have minimimal effect if any on the overall recruiting class and progression of the football program.

Comment by pittisit37 12.14.14 @ 8:55 am

Hiring Rudolph is a big gamble for Rudolph and Pitt.

That makes a statement you are sticking with PC’s plan which should pay off next year with 8 or more.

If it fails, you can’t say Rudolph gets three years to put his stamp on the team. He is done. You have to fire him after one year and eat a new contract.

Comment by notrocketscience 12.14.14 @ 8:58 am

Guys, I don’t think they will go after Bo Pelini. He’s too, in your face, for the culture at Pitt. His personality as much as the results, contributed to his dismissal at Nebraska.

Comment by Justinian 12.14.14 @ 8:59 am

but John, even the preseason ticket sales for 2011 dipped … despite the promise of High Octane and presence of ND on the schedule.

While this site was pretty squarely on the fraud bandwagon, that was not the case based on all of the comments I heard from fans on the Pittsburgh area stations and letters and posted comments I read in the two Pgh papers. Most, like me, were really skeptical by the fast-talking Texan.

Comment by wbb 12.14.14 @ 8:59 am

8 or more wins

Comment by notrocketscience 12.14.14 @ 9:00 am

Pitt has to win, to win back its fan base. The last few years since the “Wanny stepping down” spin and the subsequent coaching hiring fiascos, have been extremely damaging to the football program. Despite the disappointing losses this year, there is a lot of optimism going into next season. I wouldn’t blame the university for choosing stability and continuity.

Comment by Justinian 12.14.14 @ 9:10 am

Can somebody please explain to me how being a “Western PA guy” or “ties to Pittsburgh” is directly correlated to performing as a competent football coach?

Comment by Yeti 12.14.14 @ 9:15 am

Gc, Great thought. Maybe Chryst would like his next job to be in the NFL, and feels he can get there quicker with success at Pitt..ala Bill O’Brien.

Comment by PittPT 12.14.14 @ 9:34 am

Yeti – It’s not, and that’s not the point they were making.

Comment by 1618mt 12.14.14 @ 9:35 am

PC is gone…just waiting for Barry to announce. Thanks for your time here. You seem to be a nice guy, but hey: you were no better than anyone else who preceded you.
As for wanting Rudolph to be the next coach, why wouldn’t any new coach utilize Pitt’s offensive weapons? Keeping Rudolph makes no sense. He was part of the 19-19 quagmire.
Get someone new, someone hungry.
Let Smiley even do the introduction. Then within a month announce that Smiley has left Pitt to pursue other interests.

Comment by gasman 12.14.14 @ 9:49 am

@wbb…exactly you are making my point “despite the presence of the fast-talking Texan who promised an exciting offense, ticket sales were down from 2010 and ended up more than 10% decline even though ND was on the schedule.”

The coach they hire isn’t going to sell tickets in his opening press conference…win games and attendance will go up…that is ALL that matters. PItt could have Charles Manson as coach and if he wins games attendance would go up. Attendance was best when Wanny was here because he’s had best records in recent years…not arguing that point. If DW stayed and he had same records as Graham and Cryst these past four years attendance would be the similar.

The truth is extra ticket money (when compared to TV money) doesn’t make a huge difference. It’s more perception problem. If college football really cared about people who actually go the games they wouldn’t wait till 11 days before the game before setting the game time…college football is a made for TV (ESPN) event and people in the stands are just the extras.

Comment by milobloom 12.14.14 @ 10:02 am

milo, the bowl games support your premise, made for TV. Don’t care if anyone attends. Except for the traditional ones and now the playoffs.

Worst case scenario, and since we are Pitt, probably the most probable; We set up a blue ribbon search committee, that diddles around long enough to lose most of the recruiting class and several freshmen that transfer.
We pick a shiny new coach that wants to run the spread, says he can’t do it with these big pro style linemen and have to wait four years till his players are recruited. Rinse and repeat.

Smiley says, I like where are sport teams are headed.

Comment by gc 12.14.14 @ 10:12 am

Everyone who may doubt or not see what Chryst has accomplished in a short time…

After inheriting a Team DEPLETED of Talent… should he take the job at Wisconsin… Chryst is leaving with the CUPBOARD FULL.

Funny… so many HATERS and Doubters have criticized Chryst for being such a BAD Recruiter.

Ironically, stocking the Team with Quality Players could end up being his Legacy at Pitt.

Comment by PittofDreams 12.14.14 @ 10:48 am

PittofDreams you can’t say Chryst is underrated or good in recruiting when Pitt’s class is ranked in the 40s. He’s not a good recruiter. Good recruiters have highly ranked classes. He can’t even get classes in the 20s.

Comment by Wardapalooza 12.14.14 @ 11:08 am

I don’t know of how anyone can respect Chryst for what he is doing to Pitt right now. Chryst sat down with Gallagher on Friday he should have said if he was staying or going by yesterday. Instead he puts Pitt in this ridiculous situation where most people at Pitt think he’s gone but others don’t. It makes Pitt look like a joke. But hey the guy who barely wins 6 games with a ridiculously easy schedule is treated like he’s the best coach ever. His inability to make tough decisions quickly is why he’s not a good head coach.

Comment by Wardapalooza 12.14.14 @ 11:16 am

yeti, the ‘Western PA’ or ‘Pittsburgh’ guy will not move back home to his dream job … kind of like SP, Howland, and Graham (to a certain extent) did and now what PC appears to be doing. Even Walt after he was let go, went back to his native area.

Certainly, hiring a local is not a necessity … it’s just a plus.

Comment by wbb 12.14.14 @ 11:21 am

PoD, I agree that Pitt FB is in better shape now than when PC arrived … and while I hope he stays, I wouldn’t blame him at all for pursuing his dream job back home

Comment by wbb 12.14.14 @ 11:25 am

Comment by gc 12.14.14 @ 11:27 am

Just joking.

Comment by gc 12.14.14 @ 11:28 am

Yeti – My point exaxtly. We are concerned about this class? One player Whitehead is a priority. The others are coach em up MAC kids. 6-6 with the schedule last year was gross. We now fall in love with coaches who go .500. If Chryat stayed he is 6-6 or maybe 7-5 next year. Big Deal. Dream Big Folks. Good luck Paul to you, House and Rudolph. Oh wait??? House is good enough to splice film at Pitt I mean be a DC but not at Wisconsin?? Rudolph is 3-5 years away from a HC unless it is Pitt where you can learn on the job. All you need is a 5 month career in the NFL a degree from CMU and to be a yinzer and to be an OC on a team that was Chrysts Offense that went .500. The D stunk but our Offense being so one dimensional was why we lost 2 of those 6 games.

Comment by Upittbaseball 12.14.14 @ 11:29 am

@wbb…hiring a local guy is not a plus…the best coaches are ones from the outside….we all agree that is has been since early 80’s since Pitt was at top in college football…right? so why on earth would we want anyone associated with years since then…….that’s just more of the same..
…and if anyone was left who could be a great coach from those late 70 or early 80 Pitt years they would have already done it somewhere.

Saving this class should be pretty much near the bottom of the list of reasons to hire a coach…as others have pointed out it’s barely in top 40 of classes…I would think any good new coach they bring in could do just as well…and maybe better.

Comment by milobloom 12.14.14 @ 12:02 pm

Ward… The Recruiting Class Ratings are based on the Number of Stars.

Way OVER-rated… as many know.

One example… One of the Highest Rated Recruits Chryst has brought in is Dorian Johnson… a concensus FOUR or FIVE Star that both Penn State and Ohio State wanted.

Johnson was clearly not as talented as his “Stars” suggested… currently the WEAK LINK of the Pitt Starting Five.

Comment by PittofDreams 12.14.14 @ 12:05 pm

Milo…

Hiring a LOCAL guy is a Plus in one regard… if it helps keep him after he has some success and starts getting some interest from other Programs.

It’s part of a Value Equation.

Comment by PittofDreams 12.14.14 @ 12:09 pm

And it’s NOT saving this Class that would be the major motivator for emphasizing CONTINUITY with Rudolph.

It’s about keeping this Team on Course one Year away from achieving some SUCCESS… which it is.

Comment by PittofDreams 12.14.14 @ 12:12 pm

No one you bring in is going to bring a recruiting class with them. Losing a recruiting class at Pitt is a big deal. Where were th classes ranked that brought in Conner, Boyd, Bisno, Jones-Smith, Amara, Maddox, Moody etc.

You guys want it both ways, I get it everything stinks and you will be the first to criticize when things don’t go well with the new guy.

If the offense was responsible for losing 2 games (and I don’t necessarily agree) that isn’t bad out of 12.

There are more players than just Whitehead in this class. It is also a numbers thing. We lost a few because of a lack of depth. Although they did reasonably well Amara and Maddox would have benefited from redshirts. Losing a class hurts down the road. Other than Conner and Boyd, all of our best players, on both sides of the ball were seniors. Our best player last year was a senior. Age and experience matter. The best teams have plenty of fifth year seniors on their lines. That is why losing classes matters and the primary reason we were 6-6.

Say what you will about Chryst’s recruiting but he has only had two classes of his own, and with two non-existent ones before that.

It took Wanny four years to win and he only lost one class when he came in.

Comment by gc 12.14.14 @ 12:26 pm

POD and Justianian you made good points to start off the days discussion.

Rudolph in addition is a WPA guy.

My hopeful best solution is that PC is either negotiating a counter offer with Gallagher from Pitt, and/or he is working to place Rudolph here as HC to continue and be the stewart of what he started.

As per reports with changes at hand and at least the O staff in place we can all see where this goes the next 2 years.

The is the best outcome to have PD FIRED.

If the FB program is stable, the a new Chancellor can fire or deal with SP and take his time to get his long term Athletic Department team in place.

The new team monitors Rudolph for 2-3 years…

– if the guy is getting it done, great.
– if his not then they – the new AD team – makes the ‘big name’ change.

finally, if Chryst negotiates an extension and stays… the ‘changes’ he wants clearly point to SP moving on as well.

@ gc…. excellent points! Right no the mark.

PC recruiting classes represent the youngest team in D-1 with some of its best offensive stars.

Incoming class has solid talent and its about the momentum and continuity with HS coaches and the overall energy of recruiting in the tristate area.

gc, your points are right on. If we have PSU and WVA pick apart this recruiting class it sets the stage for the next few years.

the DC from MSU, the OC from OSU…. arguably the 2 best options… they are not bringing any of their current recruits from OSU or MSU to Pitt…

A new Chancellor can’t revamp the Athletic department leadership AND see a total rehaul of the FB program with new coaching staff at the same time… just too much.

Also, if he fires SP, and goes through process of hiring new AD… and that AD can hire coaching staff…

then that is a long, long process and there is no real recruiting class for this year…

Wbb – if DW suspends one player for one game early in the 2010 season we wouldn’t have had these troubles either, but who was discussing that?

I mentioned DW for the AD position – which I think is silly.
