It really sucks that it took until the end of the month before I could get to my first game of the season. But, I made it and it is predictably deserted in the press box 2 1/2 hours before the game. On the bright side, with nobody really here the wi-fi is probably stronger than it will be once the place fills up.
It’s weird to be at the stadium and not to have a bourbon in hand. Unnatural.
The game is on ROOT locally. If you are local, why the hell aren’t you at the game? For everyone else, this is the list of channels carrying the game, including YES.
This is the start of (hopefully) a march across Virginia. UVa today, a bye week, at VT and then ODU. Three games. Three Virginia teams.
A win, also breaks the 2-wins, 2-losses pattern going back to last year.

Now, someone on here, I can’t remember who, said several weeks ago, “i’ll reserve my judgement until after game 4 or 5”.
Guess friggin’ what??? It’s after game 4 and we’re 3-1.
Those same people, will now say, “I’ll reserve judgment until I see them play ND and Miami”.
I’m not over hyped or over enthused, I don’t think we’re a top 20 team, but for cryin’ out loud, we’re 3-1.
CAVEAT. This only to a few posters, I see a great many, great posts.

The O-line has to pick it up. No holes for backs & Savage running for his life. Needed to throw some more screens & misdirection plays. Special teams was better, but they need to clean up the punt returns & make those short fg’s. Take the W & have some beers.
