I’m stuck working so I’m doing the DVR delay thing.
Luke is handling the liveblog. Sorry about the late toss for this, but there were some communication difficulties. Gametime is around 7:30.
Moderated chat as always. Hopefully everyone knows the drill by now.

Paraphrasing that Coors Light commercial with Jim Mora “Bowl Games? Bowl Games? Don’t talk to me about Bowl Games”
With nearly two weeks to prepare (though both teams had the same two weeks), I would have thought, we’d be well-versed in how to stop Todman…instead, deplorable D play.
Romeus was not ready to play, and not a factor—Wanny should have realized that during practice.
I didn’t think Cam did a bad job on punt returns, as he fair caught it when it could have bounded inside the five, and ran straight up the middle when he did run it. He also took a kickoff to the 45. So, Cam’s performance was actually, beneficial tonight.
I will still root for PITT as our remaining three games are all on national TV…but, let’s be ready to play, and ready to play to Win>
Hail to PITT!

I believe that our ship has sailed and we will start to look like the broken down cruise ship with 4,500 passangers (our game attendance for next year). The cruise ship had no hot water, no air conditioning and as you can imagine the passangers rightfully complained about the STINKING conditions on board. Sounds like Pitt!!
“He was so approachable and likable — so down-to-earth, unassuming, good-hearted — that I ignored the truth. Dave Wannstedt was never cut out to be a head coach.”
“Now, I’m not even convinced he was anything special as a defensive coordinator. The tough truth: He was an overachieving offensive lineman from Pitt who was no more than a meat-and-potatoes thinker as a head coach. All he really had going for him was that he looked the part and, more important, that he was Jimmy Johnson’s best friend.”
“As a columnist for the Chicago Tribune, I closely followed Dave’s final two Bears teams. Nearly every conversation I had with him began with, “Geez, we can’t get a break.” His creativity began and ended with, “This week, we’ve just got to run the ball and play defense.”
“My lasting memory is Dave pacing the sideline and running his hand back through his hair — the tormented look of a loser.”
Hey, at least the Ravens lost!! and it took a miracle to make that happen
I am not gonna go on a rant on this anymore. I said early and often this team would be 7-5 at best.
I said they would lose 2 Big East games minimum. My guess was that they would lose to a team they should be favored to beat (Syracuse,Louisville, Rutgers, UConn, USF) and they would split between games I thought they might be underdogs (Cincy, WVU).
I stand by that statement. They will at best be 7-5.
The reason I won’t rant because this is what Pitt is now. We all have to accept the fact that we will find ourselves disappointed or underwhelmed.
The joke of it all is that this team at 7-5 might still make a BCS bowl. How embarrasing the Big East is this year.
I have come to accpet the facts above. I will no longer get upset or frustrated with Pitt under this regime. It is what it is.

No excuse for losing to ND, Miami, and UCONN. ND and Miami have come under heat themselves this year and UCONN has this:
“Back to Frazer. He stunk early. Got benched down to 3d string. Then redshirt freshman qb Mike Box got hurt, Cory Endres couldn’t stay away from taking puffs and now Frazer is back at the helm. He’s kind of playing with nothing to lose at this point, so who knows.”
Enjoy that Scotch, Chas! I’m going for the bottle as I type…
