One-third of the season is in the books. Pitt sits at 2-2. I have no idea about this team. I have notions, thoughts, opinions and conjecture. But I don’t have any solid sense of this team. Is this a 7-5 team? Are they improving steadily and capable of going 9-3 or 10-2? Somewhere in the middle?
I’ve been reading everyone’s comments from the threads and both positive and negative there are good points made. The fact that four games in, and I don’t feel like I know anymore about this team than when they were 1-1 is really frustrating.
We know more about them than from the preseason as realism forced us to back away from darkhorse top-10 BCS Championship dreams. Aside from that it is a crapshoot. It doesn’t help that the Big East is so weak looking that going 7-0 would not be unthinkable — and still not be considered particularly impressive.
