Check Your Local Listings

I’m not sure if the map is exactly right, but if you don’t live in Philly or Pittsburgh, you might want to check your local CBS Station’s program guide if you don’t want a nasty surprise on Sunday at noon.

I have the DirecTV sports package, and thankfully they air the alternative feed on channel 729 and 729-1 for HD.

Good luck.

UPDATE (4:50): Hat tip to SilverPanther in NYC for fining a better, more detailed coverage map.

Oh. Well, that’s really stupid.

Hopefully there will be some streams available at least.

Damn it.

I wonder why NYC gets the OSU-MSU game. Did Rutgers and Syracuse join the Big 10 while we weren’t looking?

Comment by maguro 02.19.10 @ 3:17 pm

go to tvguide.com and put in your cable company… to check for sure.

Comment by Snala the Panther 02.19.10 @ 3:41 pm

I’m pretty sure NYC is getting the game. If you have Time Warner cable, you can forward to Sunday noon on the schedule and see it there. I just did it and it appears.

He’s a different coverage map I’ve found- link to hdsportsguide.com

FWIW Tampa listings show Pitt/Nova which agrees more with the map that SilverPanther found.

I am in the only county in western PA that is not getting the Pitt game, balls! Damn you, Time Warner Cable!!!

Comment by dugdog 02.19.10 @ 5:00 pm

Hell,

I live in Dallas, it looks like Big 10 country here!!

Comment by Brian Wannstedt 02.19.10 @ 5:08 pm

I live in southwestern Ohio. No way am I getting the Pitt game, and so far we’re 1-4 when I’ve been unable to watch a conference game (the exception being Syracuse), and 8-0 when I can watch.

This is great news for those of us on the Left Coast. Breakfast with the Panthers! Just like football season.

Comment by maz. 02.19.10 @ 6:15 pm

JS, given that track record, a real Panther fan would move

Comment by wbb 02.19.10 @ 7:56 pm

Maz—Correct…we, fans in oregon wake up to smell the (hopefully) great home cookin’ of our Panthers!

Hail to PITT!

Further proof that Mercer County is in Ohio.

apostles, Doesn’t Sharon/Mercer area use Younstown TV stations?

Comment by wbb 02.20.10 @ 10:39 am

Let’s just be thankful that the game will be shown in the recruiting hotbed of northern Idaho.

Hats off to the pin heads here in Orlando. Yeah, can’t wait to see that (Michigan Ohio)-State game. Makes a lot of sense. The nearest Big 10 team to downtown O’town is about 1000 miles away. I guess USF, which I thought was about 90 miles away in Tampa, is a mirage. The game will be replayed on CBS College Sports (whatever that network is called now) on Monday at 10:00 pm. But anyone who learns of a live feed on the internet, please post. Thanks.

Ohio really is the worst state in the universe.

But guys, fantastic news:

It appears CBS will be streaming the Pitt/Nova game for free over the web.

Comment by Will H. 02.20.10 @ 1:10 pm

Thanks, Will! Apparently, they think we–here in Indianapolis–care about Ohio St.- Michigan St.
