Or is that Link Dump Notre? Notre Link Dump? I feel like I’m leaving something  out. Oh, well. Plenty of stories. No time to hash them. Sort through them yourself.

Q&A with Adam Gunn — McKillop wishes he was playing this weekend.

Apparently Notre Dame likes to pass. This Jimmah’ Clausen appears to be a decent QB. Best Clausen of the bunch — FWIW. It might test the secondary. In fact, the secondary faces its biggest challenge since NC State. Eep.

Any chance ND repeats its 6 trips to the red zone with only 2 scores to show for it? Considering they only came away empty handed 4 times in the prior 8 games, I doubt it.

The magic number is 10. As in top-10 wins for Pitt since 2002. Plus it’s been 10 years since Pitt beat ND in Pittsburgh — I feel even older.

Notre Dame likes to blitz. It is expected. But their defense has continually failed in big games.

For those Pitt fans who think too many older Pitt fans are living in the past of the 70s, it beats hanging the hat on the 60s and wistful memories of Ara Parseghian.

More speculation on Weis surviving at ND. Meanwhile, Coach Wannstedt is sympathetic to Weis’ plight.

Some work on on revisionism and/or trying to figure out how Wannstedt became an NFL punchline. This one’s a tough sell for anyone who is a Dolphin or Bears fan.

Happy, fluffy puff piece on Dorin Dickerson finding his position and success.

Former special teams/DB Pitt player from York, PA now in his first year as a defensive assistant coach at Duquesne.

Everyone’s favorite OC, Frank Cignetti gets the hometown love from the Indiana paper.

Thank you Cincy!

What makes Cincy’s victory tonight so great? Pitt can now play the next two games without any pressure. It’s all about having fun, for the love of the game and bragging rights right now.

Let’s play Jeopardy!

Answer: Aramark expects to sell 6,500 pounds of wings, 14,000 hot dogs, 4,000 hamburgers, 6,000 Primanti sandwiches, 9,000 pizzas, 15,000 servings of nachos, 28,000 fountain sodas, and 12,000 soft pretzels.

This is a huge game for the conference. Having the (hopefully) top team in the BE losing to ND would not be good.

What is this weekend?

FWIW … the AP just released its 1000th fb poll this week and Pitt is the only team in the Top 10 in both the 1st and 1000th. On the original poll of 10/19/36, they were ranked 9th. (finished the season 4th) Note that Duquesne was ranked 11th on the 1st poll … Pitt beat them that year 7-0.

Awesome fact WBB. I will be repeating it at my tailgate (with full credit, lol!)

After watching the Wofford game last night, I can’t take another close game. Hopefully there its a blowout for the good guys!

ESPN, “One other note about Stull that you might find hard to believe: he’s having a better senior season than Dan Marino did in 1982, the last time Pitt cracked the Top 10 in November.

Stull in on pace to throw for more than 2,500 yards with 22 touchdowns. Marino passed for 2,432 yards with 17 touchdowns and 23 interceptions as a senior. Different eras, sure, but how many people would have thought a comparison between Stull and Marino was even possible before this season?

WOW

Just read the Gunn Q&A, it was pretty cool–one thing that strikes me every time the players talk is how much respect they seem to have for Coach Wanny. It really is great to see and feel that the players are giving their all for their head coach–it says a lot about him, despite how many of us criticize him in other areas (strategy, etc.)

H2P!

Judges. Yes, we’ll accept that Brian. It’s what is expected to be sold total this weekend between the Pitt and Steelers’ games.

Yeah, the guy who wrote the Wanny article comes up with some food for thought, but, c’mon, he called us Pittsburgh University. What would he know about Bears Chicago, or Wannstedt Dave?

Pitt To Hail!
