It just comes down to this in the A-10 final. I get a cheap laugh everytime an announcer mentions, Jason Duty, in that standard clipped announcer voice, so that it comes out “Doodie.”

I just turn into Beavis everytime call out Duty.

So why not carry that into the NCAA Tournament?

If Duquesne wins, there will be 3 Pittsburgh teams in NCAA for what I’m sure is first time ever. Also, another NCAA team that Pitt beat.

Would’ve been a nice story, especially after those Duquesne players were shot a few years back, but only 2 of the 3 Pittsburgh teams will be dancing next week.

Question: In years past, I was able to sign up for the VIP thing on CBS.com which got me quicker access to the tournament games online.

I can’t find anything about this on the CBS website. Does anybody out there know where to sign up for it this year?

Akron won the MAC. So that’s at least another NCAA team that Pitt beat out of conference.

Is this old news? Darnell Dodson committed to Memphis. What was the official reason he didn’t enroll at Pitt? Academics?

Not sure if Chas bought this up here but according to the Wall Street Journal Jamie Dixon is rated the second using RPI & Salary as indicators.

dear selection commitee,

please dont screw us again. we deserve the #1 seed in the midwest (indy) or at worst the east (boston). You can rank us 3rd behind UNC and LVL, thats fine. But don’t put memphis or duke ahead of us. Thats just wrong. Dont send us out west to be the #1 or #2 seed and have us playing UCLA, Washington or Gonzaga at some point in Arizona. Please don’t screw us again.

as far as Darnell Dodsen committing to Memphis … there was something about he originally enrolled at Pitt but didn’t pass the NCAA clearinghouse so had to go to a JC … but since he originally enrolled at Pitt, it was against conference rules (or maybe the conference frowned upon it) that he come back to Pitt. I remember when I read about it, it made no sense to me at all

it was a conference rule, because he enrolled in classes and didn’t end up qualifying he wasn’t able to go to Pitt, or any other Big East school I believe. Which was a shame because he supposedly has grown taller and become a much better player.
