I was impressed with the O, granted the D wasn't running much. The running game and pass protection was a hell of alot better than I expected. Stull looks like a competent QB. Bostick looks a hell of alot better, physically and in regards to his throwing motion. Dickerson looks like he could be an absolute stud at TE and so does Shariff Harris- man that kid can play. We look like we are gonna have a really tough squad. Im excited about what Shady can do when he has an offense that can pass the ball. I also watched the replay. Collier is looking at Shariff's back from now on, and LSH better be worried also. Harris's TD run was a thing of beauty (happened right in front of me) and althought it might looked like we missed tackles on it - watch again. He made every defender miss. I stayed up last night and watched the replay on the NFL Network. Basically it was a 2-hour commercial for Pitt Football. There were a lot of young guys out there making plays. I can't wait to see Harris in a "live" situation. His dad said even though he is listed at 190 he is now up to 217 pounds. He looks solid. And the hair is cool. Over heard a couple of tailgating students complaining about, and making fun of, a couple of their friends for not attending, because they were studying for finals. It seemed to me if all of the tailgater's were actually in the stadium the attendance would have easily been around or over 10k. Maybe they didn't know it was free admission? But yeah, it did seem to be a bad weekend to hold the game. I was there, decent crowd, could have been better, noticed some students. Most of my friends that I talked to couldn't attend mostly because of studying. I went, mostly cause my first final isn't until Tuesday so I have the extra day of studying, but having the game on a) Passover and b) the Saturday right before finals, probably isn't the best idea. If they'd had it a week earlier, I guarantee attendance would have been another one or two thousand. I know, speaking from the students’ perspective, finals start tomorrow. It was so loud in there you couldn't hear a thing. I just thought it way too loud for young children. Esp when they had things for the kids to do there.
